The right moment
The same day as the visit
After a visit the impression is strongest that day. If the question arrives a week later, it gets mixed up with the next booking.
Hi Emma! Your business: thanks! Please leave us a review: plauso.app/go/K7Q2

How to do it
Connect your booking tool
Square or Calendly puts the customer in the queue, and autopilot sends the request. The integration in your account shows which event gives the right moment – ideally the payment, not the booking itself.
Put the QR code by the till
Customers paying at the desk can scan right there. The NFC sign works the same way: they tap their phone on it.
Walk-in? Add them in the app
Customers without a booking go in on your phone at the till: first name, number and a tick. The request goes out in your salon's name, before 9 pm, and nobody gets more than one reminder.
A tip for your tradeNever ask the customer to name their stylist in the review, and don't set review targets for staff. Google has prohibited both since April 2026.

Rebook reminders
If the customer books on your website and ticks the box, a text arrives when it's time for their next cut.
The rules Plauso follows
They apply to every trade and can't be switched off.
- Every customer gets the same request and the same link.
- No rewards or discounts for reviews.
- A way to opt out in every message.
- One reminder at most.
- We don't remove reviews and never promise to.
Questions and answers
My booking tool has its own reviews. Why Google?
Reviews in your booking tool show up there. People searching on Google or in Maps see Google's. Plauso asks for Google by default, but you can pick another platform as the default.
What does connecting my booking tool cost?
It's included from Start at no extra charge from us. Some tools charge for their own webhooks or API access — you see the amount next to the integration in your account before you connect.
Can each stylist get their own reviews?
Reviews go to the salon's profile. Google doesn't allow asking customers to name an employee, so Plauso never does.
Can customers be reminded when their next cut is due?
Yes, if they book through your website on Grow and tick the box themselves. You choose the time per service, for example six weeks for a cut. The reminder goes once and is only about booking again – never about reviews.
