Restaurants and cafés

Reviews for restaurants and cafés

Guests rarely leave a phone number, but their phone is on the table. A QR code or an NFC sign next to the bill is the way in.

The right moment

At the bill, while the guest is still seated

After the meal and before the coat goes on. Then it's a ten-second question — later in the evening it's forgotten.

What the request looks likeText to customerExample

Hi Emma! Your business: thanks! Please leave us a review: plauso.app/go/K7Q2
Opt out: plauso.app/avsluta/…

The same wording for every customer. The opt-out always comes last.

How to do it

  1. Print the QR poster

A6 fits a table stand, A4 goes by the entrance or the till. The code points to your own link, so it keeps working if you change the destination later.

  2. Put an NFC sign at the till

Guests tap their phone on the sign or scan the code. Same link as the poster, and every tap and scan shows up in your stats.

  3. Ask your table bookings

If guests booked with a mobile number, upload the evening's list as a spreadsheet and press Send the next day.

A tip for your tradeTripadvisor lets you ask every guest for a review, but never with a reward, selection or wording you supply. A free coffee for a review is out.

Questions and answers

Google or Tripadvisor?

Pick the place your guests look. Google is the default, but you can switch — the code on the poster and the sign follows, nothing needs reprinting.

Can I text guests who booked a table?

A review request most likely counts as marketing, so the rules on consent apply where you are. Plauso always includes a way to opt out in every message.

What does an NFC sign cost?

The price is in the sign shop in your account, with volume discounts when you order several. The poster you print yourself is free.

Do I have time to reply to every review?

The reply assistant writes three drafts in seconds: paste the review, pick a tone and copy the one that fits. If the review is critical you get a short guide to replying calmly. You publish it on Google yourself.
